What it is: a story (about 16 pages long) by Don Freeman with interactive elements and additional activities.
What you do with it: 2 modes of using the book:
narration on - listen to the narrated story, after each scene/sequence about a particular color use this color to fill the areas in the picture (e.g. yellow - colors the sun and the sand on the island)
narration off - just play with the crayons and color the picture
Bonus activity - simple scene with animated stickers.
What we liked: beautiful story. The coloring activity used as an integral part of the story. Excellent illustrations. Professional narration.
What we didn't like: the navigation and interaction with pages/text could be more intuitive. Coloring is limited to the preset areas (no option for 'free' drawing). We would like to have a true 'no narration' mode (for reading on your own or by a parent). The pop up windows with text instructions (spoken instructions would be a much better idea).
