What it is: An app for enhancing reading and spelling skills.
What you do with it: complete the name of the object on the picture by selecting the missing letter (the word will be read out loud first). There are to modes: phonetics (with additional options like short vowels, long vowels, multisyllabic words) and missing letters (beginning, middle, ending letters, with 3 to 6 letter words).
What we really liked: the concept, easy operation, simple, non-distracting graphics, many configuration options.
What we didn't like: the number of words could be wider and the choice (from the educational point of view) could be a bit different. Only linear (or 'random') navigation modes, there is no option to access a particular word or a group of words. We would prefer a professional voice for reading out words/letters (as a switchable alternative to the child voice). There is not much variety in the activities nor incentives (apart from a simple reward system) - the tasks can quickly get repetitive and boring for the child.
