What it is: a story (about 16 pages long) by Jamie Lee Curtis with interactive elements and additional activities.
What you do with it: read the book yourself or listen to the narration (by Jamie Lee Curtis). Tilt the device or tap objects for interactions, sounds or mini-activities (e.g. blow the balloons around with a fan, write a 'postcard' to your friends, play with the 'helium voice effect', connect the dots to create a 'constellation' etc).
Play the Balloon Theater: create some 'balloon' characters then record the 'performance' (including audio).
What we liked: illustrations, the narration, number and quality of interactions complementing the story, fun factor, sounds and sound backgrounds, instructions and visual hints (for interactions), very good reading options, overall quality of the app.
What we didn't like: navigating around the pages (and activities) requires some time to get used to (e.g. some pages are divided into 2 separate scenes which require additional tapping/sliding). The rhythm of the original story is lost (because of the interactive elements).
Free preview: if you are not sure, please see our 'See before you buy' video (below) or try the free version of the app.
