Tilly and Friends

What it is and what you do with it: a set of mini-games based on the Tilly and Friends CBeebies TV series featuring Tilly, Doodle, Tumpty, Pru, Tiptoe and Hector.

Games include: matching, spelling, seek-and-find, shape fitting, odd one out, sorting colors, number spelling, simple addition and subtraction and more.

What we liked: the concept. Great variety of simple games. 3 difficulty levels. Original illustrations from the TV series. Humor and fun factor. Ease of use. Spoken instructions. Sounds and sound backgrounds. Multiple player accounts. Overall quality of the app.

What we didn't like: the games can be accessed only in a random mode (you see 9 games at a time). No rewards/badges or other motivational features. Some of the games offer more variety, engagement and educational value than others.
