The Haunted Halloween: A Scooby-Doo You Play Too Book

What it is: an interactive book with Scooby Doo and his friends (27 pages).

What you do with it:listen to the story (or read it yourself). Look for the items with Zoinks Points (10 points get you a code which can be exchanged for extra games or videos on the Zoinks Points website). Extra content: painting and sticker activities and 3 simple jigsaw puzzles.

What we liked: the concept, illustrations, professional narration, easy operation. The reading options: fragments of text are highlighted during reading, you can turn on/off the text and the narration at any time. You can easily access any page of the book from the menu. Inclusion of the extra 'themed' activities.

What we didn't like: very few interactive elements. Navigation while reading the book is not consistent (sometimes the page changes, sometimes it zooms). The painting activity is rather limited (no zoom or in-line painting function for painting small details). The jigsaw puzzles are very simple. General notes about our book reviews: although when reviewing books, we try not to review the story itself, the general impressions will be reflected in the Overall Score.

The Age Range assigned to books will be usually broader compared to other apps, as they can be useful for both younger (with parent/narrator reading) or older (reading on their own) kids.
