Teach Your Monster to Read
Overall Score: 92/100

Best for: Education, Early literacy, Interaction, Language
What it is and what you do with it: a set of games helping to develop reading skills (ages 3-6).
3 levels: First Steps (letters and sounds), Fun With Words (letter-sound combinations) and Champion Reader (short sentences and all basic letter-sound combinations).
Play mini-games to complete pieces of the story (help your monster read instruction manual for his/her broken spaceship) and progress from single letters and letter sounds to simple words.
What we liked: the concept (learning to read while playing fun games). Excellent range of activities complementing the first two years of reading courses at schools. Educational features developed in collaboration with professional educators. Suitable for school and home use. Fun, kid-friendly visuals (you can create your own monster characters!). Humor and fun factor. Professional narration (UK English). No ads or other distracting features.
What we didn't like: navigation could be more intuitive. Some of the mini-games offer more variety and engagement than others.
