What it is: a set of 5 activities based on the 'Pip and Posy' book series by Axel Scheffler.
What you do with it: the coloring activity: 7 scenes with Pip and Posy (or blank canvas), 12 colors and basic drawing tools tools (crayons, a paintbrush, an eraser); the matching pairs game with 3 levels (sets of 8, 16 and 24 cards); the 'Spot the differences' game: compare pairs of pictures and point to the differences; sets of jigsaw puzzles with 3 levels (6, 9, 12 pieces each; the 'mirror game': try to copy the faces Pip and Posy make and take snapshots of the results, using the camera on the device.
What we liked:the concept, great illustrations, voice instructions and clues, ease of use, overall quality of the app.
What we didn't like: navigation could be easier (there is no way to choose a particular scene in the puzzles or differences activities (there are only 'next random scene' or 'home' options). The background music gets a bit annoying after some time (and there is no option to turn it off). The coloring activity lacks zooming function (it is difficult to paint the details). We wish there more interactive elements and animations!
Bottom line: a must have for Pip and Posy fans (and a recommendation for the rest of preschoolers).
