Multiplication & Times Tables: Invasion of the Moon Monkeys

What it is: a simple arcade game for practicing multiplication and times tables skills (numbers from 1 through 12).

What you do with it: solve multiplication problems by 'shooting' at the correct answer. There are various ways of presenting the multiplication problems: e.g. find the correct result for a given pair of numbers, choose a pair of numbers which multiplied give the number displayed, find a number of which multiples are displayed etc.

What we liked: the concept (combining gameplay and math practice), various approaches to presenting multiplication problems, 'retro game' look and feel (graphics and sounds), the instructions before each level.

What we didn't like: audio instructions and commands (for better gameplay), could have more educational value (e.g. better explanation of multiplication problems). The 'joystick' mode doesn't work too well (fortunately there is a 'touch and slide' alternative).

Bottom line: if you are looking for some multiplication practice and a 'real game' experience you may like 'Invasion of the Moon Monkeys'.
