Animal Fun: Chinese for Kids
Overall Score: 88/100

Best for: Interactive play, Attention & concentration, Eye-hand coordination, Interaction, Language, Memory, Thinking & problem solving
What it is: a set of activities teaching animal names in English and Mandarin Chinese (about 100 animals divided into 4 scenes: safari, sea, farm, meadow).
What you do with it: learn the names of the animals by swiping through flashcards containing pictures and animal names, then practice the names with 4 additional activities: Pick the Right Animal, Find the Shadow, Match the Animals, and Pop the Balloons.
What we liked: the concept, number of animals, good range of activities, ease of use, audio instructions, simple language switch.
What we didn't like: the navigation could be more intuitive. No scoring system. The tools for recording your own language (optional) could be easier to use. The choice and quality of the illustrations could be better (e.g. a bat with vampire's teeth, a crocodile in the 'sea' scene).
