Best for: Interactive books, Early literacy, Eye-hand coordination, Interaction
What it is: the interactive version of the book by Suse MacDonald.
What you do with it:choose a letter, tap the animal to hear its name read out, pull the card to view the letter card and a simple animation.
Extra activity: spell your name using the on-screen keyboard then change the letters into animals.
What we liked: the concept. The 'spell your name' activity. Simple illustrations and animations. Navigation/ease of use. No distracting elements. Overall quality of the app.
What we didn't like: the educational value could be higher (e.g. there are no lowercase letters, in the 'spell your name' activity the letters are not read out etc). The background music used in the app does not help concentration.
