What it is: a seek & find game with pattern-based illustrations.

What you do with it: read the description on the screen and try to find the described object in the picture in the shortest time possible.

What we liked: the concept, good variety of tasks (ranging from relatively simple to quite challenging), great artwork, very easy operation.

What we didn't like: overall 'responsiveness' of the app could be better. No audio instructions (for kids who can't read well parental assistance is necessary). The visual clues did not work too well for us.

Bottom line: good variety of puzzles and excellent artwork make this app one of our favorites. Best played with a parent sitting around, though.

What it is: an 'I spy' game with 10 scenes (with the 'aliens/UFO' theme).

What you do with it: try to find 7 'alien' characters hiding in each scene. Touch objects in the scene for some extra interaction/sounds.

What we liked: the concept, beautiful design and illustrations, good variety of scenes, easy operation, high 'fun factor', funny sounds, visual hints (useful for smaller children).

What we didn't like: no voice instructions (for smaller children parental assistance is recommended), the educational value could be higher (e.g. names of objects in the scenes could be spoken when touched).

Best for: Brain teasers, Attention & concentration, Eye-hand coordination, Thinking & problem solving, Understanding of the world

What it is: a 'seek and find' game with 5 themed scenes and about 125 objects to find.

What you do with it: choose one of the scenes (beach, farm, park, shopping mall, carnival), click on the word on the list to listen to the name of the object (or have your parent read it out for you) and try to find the object in the picture (up to 25 items on each picture).

The app also features a spelling activity (where you try to spell the names of the objects from the main game).

What we liked: good educational value, nice lively illustrations, easy operation, visual hints, the rewards system with the 'treasure chest' (also works as a 'progress monitor'), the instructions page.

What we didn't like: you need to double click each item before you learn if the answer is correct or not (we found it confusing). Parental assistance is necessary (for reading word lists, help with finding objects and the menus). The activities have a time limit. The spelling activity button should be visible only as an option (this activity is aimed at older kids).

Bottom line: a well designed educational game with colorful themed scenes.

Overall Score: 87/100

version reviewed: 1.01

reviewed:

Best for: Brain teasers, Attention & concentration

What it is: find hidden objects in hand-drawn pictures (created by the cartoonist Jacky Jackson). 3 main categories (animals, people, objects) with 18 puzzles each plus bonus levels (over 90 puzzles in all).

What you do with it:listen to the instructions then try to find a hidden object in the selected picture (drag, zoom in, zoom out for better view). Earn stars (the faster you find a solution the more stars you get) to unlock new levels.

What we liked:the concept, excellent artwork, quality of the puzzles, ease of use, audio 'introductions' for the puzzles, visual tour/instructions, visual clues, overall 'look and feel' of the app.

What we didn't like:the levels have to be unlocked one by one. We would like to see a special mode for kids (timing feature turned off, easier puzzles selected, Twitter/Facebook buttons turned off). Some of the puzzles may be challenging even for parents.

An excellent visual/brain teaser app, best played with a parent available for help with more difficult puzzles.
