Toca Lab: Plants

What it is and what you do with it: interactive play app from the Toca Lab Series (experimentation/creativity).

Play with a variety of made-up plants in your lab: soak them in water, expose them to UV light, supply with nutrients and observe how they 'react' to different stimuli (e.g. when they accidentally trip over a ball).

You can also create clones of existing plants or mix 2 plants together to create new 'species'.

What we liked: the concept. 35 different plant characters to play with. Good for experimentation and creativity. Fun illustrations and animations. Humor and fun factor (but please see the note below). Sound backgrounds and sounds.

What we didn't like: limited educational value. Do plants really reproduce by farting?
