The Trip Little Critter Reading Adventure

What it is: an interactive version of the book by Mercer Mayer. 10 scenes. Extra activities include flashcards, matching games, puzzles etc.

What you do with it: 2 modes of using the app: regular book and interactive book with extra activities.

In the interactive mode each page of the book has additional elements: dialogues, interactions, sounds, collect the flashcards activity and a simple educational game. The book can be navigated in a traditional way (page by page) or by using a 'trip map'.

Additional task: collect 6 gems for completing all activities to play a simple puzzle game.

What we liked: the concept. Loads of activities, educational games and extras enhancing the reading experience and complementing the storyline. Original artwork with extra animations. Sounds, sound backgrounds, narration and voice acting. Fun factor. Ease of use (including visual clues, help screen etc.). Overall quality of the app.

What we didn't like: the ad for the Game Pack after the book is finished. No narration in the 'Just Read' mode.
