What it is: an adaptation of the classic fable.
What you do with it: two modes: 'read to me': where you listen to the narration and 'I'll read' where you read the text at your own pace.
What we liked: hand-drawn illustrations, simple operation, good narration.
What we didn't like: the rather unusual way of presenting of the text (scrolling) - we found it rather distracting than useful. There is no control in the 'read to me' mode (apart from going back to the main screen): pages are changed automatically, you cannot repeat a single page. In the 'I'll read' mode you need to tap every word to move along with the text (not very convenient). There are no interactive elements (tapping on the screen - what most of the kids would do - just brings the start/stop controls).
General notes about our book reviews: although when reviewing books, we try not to review the story itself, the general impressions will be reflected in the Overall Score.
The Age Range assigned to books will be usually broader compared to other apps, as they can be useful for both younger (with parent/narrator reading) or older (reading on their own) kids.
