Jack and the Beanstalk Interactive Storybook

What it is: an interactive version of the classic story.

What you do with it: listen to the story (or read it by yourself) and try to find hidden objects, interactions or activities on each page: e.g. move the sun to change the day into night, play a memory game, touch farm animals for some animal sounds.

What we liked: the illustrations, very good reading/narration/configuration options, high quality narration, help screens for parents.

What we didn't like: there are many interactive elements but only a few of them really enhance the story (especially for older kids). We didn't like the 'hidden egg' option as it just forces the user to blind-tap around the screen as there are no clues (we didn't like the dancing chick music either).

General notes about our book reviews: although when reviewing books, we try not to review the story itself, the general impressions will be reflected in the Overall Score.

The Age Range assigned to books will be usually broader compared to other apps, as they can be useful for both younger (with parent/narrator reading) or older (reading on their own) kids.
