Code Land: Coding for Kids

What it is and what you do with it: a set of activities and puzzles introducing children to coding.

The app includes 6 sets containing various activities for children aged 5 and up: Precode Land, Coding Land, Multiplayer Land, Create Land, Mind Land, and Logic Land.

Each set contains several mini-games and puzzles teaching logic skills, puzzle solving skills, sequential thinking and basic principles and concepts of coding such as simple instructions, loops, events and conditional actions.

There are around 100 activities in total.

What we liked: the concept. Extensive set of kid-friendly educational activities for all age groups and skill levels. Great for developing logical thinking, problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills. Great for introducing early programming concepts in a fun way. Achievements and rewards for extra motivation. Multiple user accounts with progress tracking. Fun visuals and sounds. No ads or other distracting features.

What we didn't like: no hints.
