Best for: Interactive play, Attention & concentration, Eye-hand coordination, Interaction, Language, Understanding of the world
What it is:an app teaching the names of everyday objects. 4 scenes (room, playground, kitchen, nature)
What you do with it: 2 modes of play: 'learn' (touch an object on the screen to hear its name read out) and 'play' (point to the correct object after hearing its). For every 5 correct answers you get a virtual animal (called Bebeka) which you can then use for an interactive animated sticker scene.
There is a simple coloring activity for each scene.
What we liked:the concept. Simple illustrations and animations. Cute characters. Ease of use (navigation, spoken instructions). The app is very easy to use and can be used even by younger kids (but please see the note below). The option to record and share your own voiceovers. Simple reward system with stickers.
What we didn't like: some objects are very small and too difficult to touch (as are the objects in the reward sticker scene). The language change interface (for parents) could be easier to use.
Age range note: this app can be used by older kids (4+) for learning a foreign language.
